Attorney-at-law Paulina Smoła

My name is Paulina Smoła and I am a legal counsel. While still studying at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Szczecin, I began collaborating with law firms in Szczecin and Warsaw. My primary goal was not only to gain theoretical knowledge but also practical experience. Since 2011, I have worked in various branches of law, which has enabled me to develop a broad perspective and professionally, efficiently, and competently resolve my clients’ issues.

After completing my studies, I started working with a joint-stock company that was carrying out one of the largest investments in the Polish and European industry, involving the construction of an integrated petrochemical complex. There, I gained corporate experience working in the Management and Management Systems Office and the Procurement Department. This experience allowed me to understand how business works, the role of an in-house lawyer, and how important it is for a lawyer to understand the internal processes within a company.

I then continued to develop in the private sector, working as an in-house lawyer for one of the leading companies in Europe specializing in the installation and service of wind turbines. I am also an internal auditor for ISO 9001 and 14001 standards. Additionally, I completed studies in Management with a specialization in Business Management to further improve my understanding of organizational processes.

These experiences have allowed me to understand in which areas of law I want to specialize. My goal is continuous development, seeking new solutions and alternative paths while maintaining the highest legal and business standards. My offer is aimed at both individual and business clients. In my client relationships, I build trust, fully engage in entrusted matters, and focus on good communication and timeliness.

I take an individualized, non-standard approach to each client and their problem, adapting to their needs. I work remotely, at the office, or at the client’s premises if they wish. I gather knowledge about the issue during the initial consultation. I then discuss the problem, present potential solutions, their benefits and risks, and assist the client in choosing the best option. Afterward, I present a schedule for each scenario, discuss the next steps with the client, and remain in contact at every stage.

I charge based on:

• hourly rates,
• flat fee + success fee,
• a flat fee with a limit on hours.

The billing method is always adjusted to the client’s preferences.
